Privacy Policy

The short version

We collect as little as we can. Browsing is anonymous. If you sign up we store your email, username and what you post. We don't sell your data. You can delete your account and everything with it.

What we collect

• Account: email address, username, password (stored hashed by our auth provider), and the optional profile details you add such as a display name, bio, avatar and social handles.
• Content: reviews, photos, saved venues, saved events, reports, venue submissions and promoter applications.
• Location: only if you tap “Near me”. It's used in your browser to sort venues by distance and is not stored on our servers.
• Preferences: your currency choice and similar settings, kept in your browser's local storage.
• Technical: standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) kept briefly for security and debugging.

Why we use it

To run your account, show your contributions with your username, moderate content, count points for the leaderboard, send account emails (confirmation, password reset, welcome), and keep the site working and secure. We don't send marketing email unless you opt in.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. We don't run third-party advertising trackers. Ad slots on the site, where present, are served without personal data from your account.

Who sees your data

• Everyone: your username, display name, avatar, approved reviews and photos, and (if you leave it on) your saved venues on your public profile.
• Service providers: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Resend (transactional email), Mapbox and Google Maps (maps and venue photos). They process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms.
• Venues: if you submit a venue edit or report, we may pass the content (not your email) to the venue to verify it.

Your choices

Edit your profile and privacy toggles (favourites, photos, status) from your profile settings. To delete your account and all content tied to it, contact us through the Aboutpage from the email on the account and we'll do it within 7 days. Approved reviews may be kept in anonymised form.

Data location and retention

Data is stored with our providers in their regions (primarily Singapore and the United States). We keep account data until you delete it, and server logs for up to 30 days.

Children

The site is for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
