A glamorous hotel lounge at the Peninsula with live music and a bit of theatre, dance instructors and themed rooms. Expect a hefty bill: menu prices run high, plus 10% service and an 18% entertainment charge. Cocktails are good, but service can lag badly when it's busy. Weekends only.
The Scene
Only open Fridays and Saturdays, Salon de Ning is a club in Katipunan that keeps it to two nights a week. Doors at 8PM, done by 2AM. It's dim inside with a dance floor that fills up once the DJ gets going.
Drinks are standard club fare, beer, cocktails, buckets if you're with a group. The music runs house, hip-hop and EDM with mainstream tracks mixed in. It gets loud fast.
Katipunan means students, so that's most of the room, plus young people from around QC. Two nights only, so weekends get packed. Go early if you want a table.
