Right by Ateneo in Katipunan, Blackbox is where the college crowd goes for a proper night out. It's a small cocktail bar that turns into a DJ party once it fills up. Loud and packed. Bring cash or GCash, they don't take cards.
Cocktails are about P200 and beer is P120, which is most of the appeal. The bar food does the job. A DJ plays house most nights and the playlist is genuinely good. Fridays and Saturdays are the busy ones.
Almost all students, mostly from Ateneo. Young barkadas, and it gets rowdy fast. Not the place for a quiet drink.
