The Scene
You get in through Mabuhay Craft Coffee in San Juan, down an alley and up a staircase. Inside, Malagihay Cocktail Club feels like a lola's house, brass on wood with exposed beams overhead. It's small, and you can actually hear each other.
The menu is built around Mood, Moment and Memory. Order the Peach Mango P., basically the pie in a glass. Magic Gulaman has gin and coconut water, and Ovaltine Rice is straight childhood. Cocktails run P500 to P550, beers P330. House music, low. Open till 4AM, closed Tuesdays.
Younger drinkers who care what's in the glass, couples, and small groups who lose track of time.
