Tomas Morato is where Quezon City goes out. One long avenue, plus Timog and the Scout streets off it, with rooftops, clubs, KTV rooms and cheap bars all within a short walk. oaktop has the view. Wrong Door and After Hours have the cocktails. Hydro and Rampa have the dance floors. Chill Top is open 24 hours if the night isn't over. Drinks are cheaper than Makati, almost nothing charges at the door, and casual is fine everywhere. It's the easiest bar hop in the north.

Getting to Tomas Morato
Take the MRT to GMA Kamuning. From the station it's a 15 minute walk up Timog Avenue, or a tricycle or jeepney if you don't feel like walking. The bars start where Timog meets Tomas Morato.
Grab from Makati or BGC is 40 minutes to an hour at night, longer on a Friday. From Cubao or Katipunan it's 15 to 20 minutes.
Parking is easier here than in Makati. Most bars have a lot or share one with the building next door, and the Scout streets have space on the side of the road.
Before you go
Friday and Saturday are the busy nights. The clubs go from 10pm. The bars are fine any night, and Thursday is a good pick if you want a table without waiting.
Bars close at 2 or 3am. The clubs and a lot of the KTV rooms run to 5am, and Chill Top never closes.
Dress code is casual. Shorts and sneakers are fine almost everywhere. Hydro wants closed shoes.
Cash and GCash are the norm. Cards work at the bigger places.
The avenue is busy and well lit until late. The Scout streets off it are residential and quiet, so stay on the main roads when you're walking between bars.
