BGC Bars & Clubs

There's no train stop inside BGC. Take the MRT to Ayala, then the BGC Bus from the terminal under the EDSA Ayala footbridge. It drops you along 32nd Street and McKinley, close to Uptown and High Street.

Grab from Poblacion or Makati CBD is 15 to 25 minutes. From QC or Ortigas give it 45 minutes to an hour on a Friday.

Parking is the one thing BGC does well. There's paid parking under Uptown Mall, along High Street and at most of the big buildings. Rates are by the hour and the lots close late, so check the exit time before you leave the car.

Friday and Saturday are the nights. Uptown clubs fill up after midnight and go until 5am. The cocktail bars around High Street and Burgos Circle are good any night of the week and are busiest after work from Thursday.

Bars close around 2am, 3am on weekends. The Palace clubs run to 5am.

Dress code matters here more than anywhere else in Manila. Smart casual is the baseline. Closed shoes, no shorts, no sando. The clubs enforce it at the door, and they do turn people away.

Cards work almost everywhere. You'll still want some cash for a tip or a quick taxi.

BGC is safe to walk at night. The streets are lit, there's security on most corners, and Grab pickups are easy outside any mall or building.
