How BGC Works After Dark

BGC is the cleanest, safest and priciest night out in Manila. It's also spread out. Most of the action sits in two pockets about a 20 minute walk apart. Uptown Bonifacio, around 9th to 11th Avenue and 36th to 38th Street, holds The Palace complex and the big clubs. Forbes Town and Burgos Circle, down by Forbestown Road, hold the lounges, the wine bar and the places that stay open past 5am. In between you get High Street, Serendra and the hotel bars at Shangri-La The Fort.

The Palace Complex

The Palace at 11th Avenue corner 38th Street is still the biggest nightlife address in the country. One gate, one queue, several rooms. Xylo, the old flagship superclub, has closed. The roster now is Revel, Yes Please, Clubhouse, Somewhere Quiet underneath The Distillery, and Medusa, a supper club that opened in 2025. The Palace guide breaks each room down.

Revel at The Palace is the club you come to BGC for. House and EDM, a proper sound system, and a crowd that dresses up. Entrance is ₱1,500 and it's consumable, so you get it back in drinks. Tables start at ₱10,000. Doors run Tuesday to Saturday from 11pm until 5am. The dress code is enforced and people do get turned away. No slippers, no sleeveless tops, no caps.

Clubhouse at The Palace is the room where you can still hear your friends. More lounge than club, house music, and you need a table if you want to sit. Tuesday to Saturday, 10pm to 4:30am. Cocktails around ₱500.

Yes Please at The Palace is the party room. Top 40 and hip hop, a younger crowd, and private karaoke rooms, which makes it the birthday pick. Open daily from 8pm to 5am. Reserve. Walk ins wait a long time on weekends.

Medusa is the dinner before all of that. It's a supper club with about 170 seats inside and 50 outside, from the same group that runs the clubs. Book ahead.

Speakeasies and Hidden Bars

This is where BGC beats Poblacion. Most of the city's best hidden cocktail rooms are here, and they're close enough to walk between. None charge cover. Cocktails run ₱450 to ₱600. Book a table on Friday and Saturday because these rooms are small.

The Attic is the one locals point you to first. You walk into a tiny liquor store called Soju Express on 7th Avenue, and the bar is behind it. Retro room, serious bartenders, and the Perya Parade is the drink to order. There's no kitchen, so bring food in. Thursday to Saturday it opens at 4pm and runs to 2am. It's rated 4.9 by the people who found it.

Somewhere Quiet sits beneath The Distillery at The Palace, which makes it the quiet door inside the loudest block in BGC. The room is styled like a 1930s bathroom where bootleg gin was once brewed. The Bathtub Rum is the signature. Drinks come with mist and a bit of theatre. It's closed Mondays and goes until 3am on Friday and Saturday.

No Entry Cocktail Club hides inside a parking lot at One Neo Building on 3rd Avenue. New York feel, live jazz some nights, and a cocktail list that takes risks. Order the Arson or the Cold Turkey, and the Burger and Marrow if you're hungry. Open until 2am on Friday and Saturday.

Hotel Bar is behind a red door next to Pink's Hot Dogs at Shangri-La The Fort. Three rooms in a row: a cocktail counter at the front, a hip hop DJ room in the middle, and a jazz lounge at the back. Ask for Pinky's menu. It opens at 11am, which makes it the rare speakeasy that works for a long lunch. Friday and Saturday it runs to 3am.

The Back Room is the other Shangri-La hideaway, a 1920s room behind a shoeshine chair on the 30th Street side. Jazz on the speakers, a long gin list, and the white sangria people cross the city for. Daily from 6pm to 2am. Smart casual.

Bank Bar gets in through the 7 Eleven at the RCBC Savings Bank Corporate Center on 26th Street. It's the oldest of BGC's hidden doors and still one of the best cocktail rooms in the area. Reservations help on weekends. We haven't listed it yet, so check their Instagram for hours.

Nightshade Cocktails & Spirits isn't hidden, but it is quiet. It's inside The Shoppes at Park McKinley West on the Taguig side of BGC, with easy parking and drinks that match the rooms above. Open from 4pm. Good as a first stop, or for a night that never gets loud.

Upscale Lounges and Dinner Rooms

BGC does the dressed up, sit down version of a night out better than anywhere else in Manila. These are the rooms for a date, a client, or a birthday where nobody wants to queue.

The Cedar Room at BGC Corporate Center 2 is a cigar lounge with leather club chairs, a proper humidor and a serious whisky list. The bartenders will walk you through a first Cuban. Come for a slow drink and a smoke, not a dance floor. Open until 2am every night.

LIT Manila at Serendra is a boutique Japanese whisky bar. Rare bottles, flights, and a jackfruit cocktail that sounds wrong and tastes right. Small room, so book. Cocktails about ₱500.

Red Manila at Forbes Town is a dinner and a show room. Downstairs is Chinese and Japanese cooking with a cocktail list built around the food. Upstairs is a stage that rotates jazz, acoustic sets, stand up, drag and DJ nights. Eat at eight and stay until the room turns. Order the truffle siomai and a Hugo Spritz. Open daily to 2am.

The Iron Fairies Manila on 20th Drive is the theatrical one. Dark ironwork, fairy dust on the walls, and a DJ later on. There's a ₱1,500 cover on big nights and it runs daily until 5am, so it doubles as the after party for the lounges above. Dress smart.

Noir BGC on Forbestown Road is the newest lounge on this list and the last to close. Dim, sleek and moody, with strong drinks and a crowd that dresses well. It opens at 9pm and goes to 6am most nights, and 11am on Friday and Saturday. Reserve if you're arriving after 1am on a weekend.

Dr. Wine BGC at Parklane on Forbestown Road is the sister of the Poblacion original. French kitchen, long wine list, live music, and a happy hour from 3pm to 7pm. It opens at 7am for coffee and closes at 4am, so it's the one place in BGC where you can start and end the same night.

Fauna MNL at Forbeswood Heights is a small, romantic cocktail bar with a DJ and a handful of tables. Drinks sit between ₱395 and ₱495. Closed Sunday and Monday.

Rooftops

O2 Rooftop Bar is 27 floors up at D2 Residence Tower on McKinley Parkway. Skyline in every direction, live bands, and the Love Potion cocktail. Walk ins are fine. Friday and Saturday it runs to 3am. Order the ribs and skip the flatbread.

Straight Up Bar at Seda BGC is the hotel rooftop on the 22nd floor at 30th Street. Acoustic sets, a buy one take one happy hour, and a calmer crowd than O2. Open daily from 4pm to 1am.

Casual Bars With No Cover

Not every night in BGC needs a dress code. These are the places to drink without a minimum.

• Tap Station at Parklane on Forbestown Road has about 25 beers on tap and a buy one take one happy hour until 4pm. Friday and Saturday it's open to 4am.

• OUT OF OFFICE BGC at High Street South is the after work cocktail bar with office themed drinks. The Work From Home is the order. It's loud by 9pm.

• Versus Barcade PH at Uptown Parade is cocktails plus arcade cabinets. Beer is ₱150 and cocktails ₱300, the cheapest on this page. Some of the machines are broken, so come for the bar first.

• McKinley Whisky Park is an outdoor food park with live bands and whisky by the bottle. Wednesday to Saturday, 6pm to 3am. Casual dress, cheap drinks, big crowds on event nights.

• RUE and Zion-1 PH at Forbes Town are the restobar end of the area. Groups, shared plates and no cover.

• Skinny Mike's Bar & Events Place at W Fifth Avenue is the expat bar. Cold beer, sports on the screens, nobody checking your shoes.

• Kitchen N' ReBar at Avida Towers is a late restobar with cocktails under ₱500 and beer under ₱300.

KTV in BGC

Here's the honest answer. BGC doesn't have dedicated karaoke rooms yet, at least none we'd put our name on. The closest thing inside BGC is Yes Please at The Palace, which runs private karaoke rooms alongside the club floor. Book one for a group.

For proper KTV rooms, go to the edge. Rockstar KTV has a branch at SM Aura on the Skypark level, with themed rooms for 2 to 40 people and consumable room rates from about ₱2,500. Across the river in Makati, 99 Family KTV in Olympia is rated 4.9 and about 15 minutes away by Grab. What Things Cost

Expect to pay more than Poblacion and less than you fear.

• Cocktails: ₱400 to ₱600 at most bars on this page. The speakeasies sit at the top of that range.

• Beer: ₱150 at Versus, and ₱270 to ₱360 at the cocktail bars and clubs.

• Cover: nothing at the bars and lounges. Revel charges ₱1,500 and gives it back in drinks. Iron Fairies charges ₱1,500 on big nights.

Dress Code

BGC is the strictest area in Manila. The Palace turns people away for slippers, shorts, sleeveless shirts on men, caps and gym wear. The hotel speakeasies and the lounges expect smart casual. The casual bars don't care. Read the dress codes guide before a club night.

Getting There and Getting Around

There's no train into BGC. From Makati, a Grab from Poblacion takes 15 to 20 minutes and costs ₱80 to ₱150 before surge. From the MRT, get off at Ayala and take the BGC Bus from the EDSA Ayala terminal to Market Market or Uptown. It runs into the evening but not late enough for the trip home, so plan on Grab after midnight. Surge pricing outside The Palace at 3am is real. Walk two blocks away before you book.

Driving in is easy and parking is plentiful. Uptown Mall and High Street both have paid parking that runs all night.

Start at 6pm at Nightshade Cocktails & Spirits or The Attic while the rooms are empty. Dinner at Red Manila or Medusa at 8pm. One drink at The Back Room or Hotel Bar at 10pm. Then decide. Revel at The Palace if you want to dance, Clubhouse at The Palace if you want to talk, Noir BGC or The Iron Fairies Manila if you want it to go late.
