47 venues · Updated November 2026
Pasig, Mandaluyong and San Juan sit in the middle of Metro Manila, and they're easy to reach from anywhere on EDSA. Each district does something different. Kapitolyo is restobars and small bars on a few walkable streets. Ortigas Center has the rooftops, like VU's on the 45th floor, plus O Bar for drag. Capitol Commons has 12 Monkeys for live OPM. Greenfield is craft beer at Engkanto and a club night at BSK. Shaw has Padi's Point, open 24 hours. San Juan has the best cocktails, at Malagihay and Sa'min. Drinks cost less than BGC, and most bars don't charge at the door.

Getting to Pasig, Mandaluyong & San Juan
MRT-3 runs down EDSA past all three cities. Shaw Boulevard station sits at Starmall and is close to Greenfield. Ortigas station is the stop for Ortigas Center and Capitol Commons. Kapitolyo and most of San Juan need a Grab for the last stretch.
Grab between districts is 10 to 20 minutes. From Makati or BGC it's 30 to 45 minutes at night. From QC it's about the same, depending on EDSA.
Parking is easier than in Makati. The malls, hotels and office towers all have lots, and Greenfield and Capitol Commons have big ones. Kapitolyo is the tight one, with mostly street parking.
Before you go
Weeknights after work are busier here than in most of Manila, because of all the offices. Friday and Saturday are the big nights everywhere.
Closing times vary a lot. Ortigas bars tend to close at 1am. Kapitolyo and Greenfield go to 2 or 3am. For a really late one, O Bar runs to 6am, Spectroom in San Juan to 7am, and Padi's Point never closes.
Dress is casual at most places. VU's, O Bar, Vintage and The Bistro Rooftop want smart casual.
The bigger bars take cash, GCash and cards. Carry cash for the small restobars and the San Juan spots.
These are office and residential areas, so the streets go quiet after midnight. Book your Grab from inside the bar.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the best area in Pasig for bars?
Kapitolyo, if you want to walk between a few places. The Last Home, St. Patrick's, Lotus Gin Room and two rooftops are all on a few streets. Ortigas Center is better for a rooftop or after work drinks. Capitol Commons is the pick for live music.
What are the best bars in Mandaluyong?
Engkanto Taps and Blackwood in Greenfield for beer and happy hour. Vintage for wine. Bar Zero for drag shows. BSK Club Manila for a club night. Over on Shaw, Padi's Point is open 24 hours.
Where's the best rooftop bar in Ortigas?
VU's Sky Bar on the 45th floor of Marco Polo, with a live band and cocktails around ₱545. Aire³² at The Westin is quieter. In Kapitolyo, Sky High Bar sits 21 floors up with a glass roof, so rain doesn't stop it.
Are there gay bars in Pasig or Mandaluyong?
Yes. O Bar in Ortigas has been the home of Manila's drag scene since 2005, and the main shows start around 1:30am. Bar Zero in Greenfield is a smaller drag bar with ₱200 cocktails and a friendly room.
Is going out in Pasig cheaper than BGC?
Yes. Cocktails here run ₱150 to ₱550, and plenty of places sit around ₱350. Happy hours in Greenfield make beer cheaper still. The hotel rooftops are the only places that get close to BGC prices.
Are there bars open 24 hours in Mandaluyong?
Padi's Point and Chill Bar at Starmall EDSA Shaw are both open 24 hours, every day. Music 21 Plaza on Shaw Boulevard in Pasig is open 24 hours from Friday to Sunday.
What's San Juan like for nightlife?
Small and quiet, with some of the best cocktail bars in the east. Malagihay Cocktail Club and Sa'min are the two to know. Greenhills has District 8 for craft beer and Rockstar KTV for singing.
