Rooftop Bars in Makati (2026): 17 Picks From Ayala to Poblacion
Every rooftop bar we list in Makati, from quiet hotel decks over Ayala to loud walk ups in Poblacion. Prices, hours, cover charges and which ones to book.
Quick Picks
- Date night: The Penthouse 8747 for dinner, or Seltsam for something small and cheap.
- A view over Ayala: Whisky & Cigar Bar on the 28th floor, or Top of the Alpha on the 34th.
- Cheap drinks with a view: Z Hostel Rooftop any time, or Coda Wet Bar during happy hour.
- Dancing on a roof: TOPIC Poblacion, SANCTUARY Poblacion or LYNX Gastro Lounge.
- Something to do besides drink: The Fun Roof has pool, darts and mini golf.
- Good food up high: SOS Poblacion, Encima Roofdeck or Dr. Wine Poblacion.
Makati splits in two. The CBD rooftops around Ayala and Legazpi Village sit on hotels and office towers. They're quieter and pricier, and they're better for talking. The Poblacion rooftops sit on four and five storey walk ups along P. Burgos, General Luna and Kalayaan. They're louder and cheaper, and close enough together that you can do three in a night. A Grab between the two takes about ten minutes.
Prices and hours come from each bar's page on this site, last updated in November 2026. Check Instagram before you go, since rooftops change hours with the weather.
Ayala, Legazpi and the CBD
1. The Penthouse 8747
On the 21st floor of the Lepanto Building on Paseo de Roxas. You look straight down on Ayala Triangle Gardens, and at night the trees are lit up below you. It's a small room with proper tables, so it feels like a restaurant with a view more than a bar. Steak is the order, and the crab croquettes are worth adding. Cocktails like the Night in the Plaza are about ₱350, and Crazy Carabao draft is ₱210. Skip the sangria. Add dinner and wine and the bill for two can climb past ₱8,000. Tuesday to Sunday, 4pm to 2am. Closed Monday. Book ahead, because it's busy.
2. Top of the Alpha
Thirty four floors up at Alphaland Corporate Tower on Ayala Avenue. It's a jazz and blues room with windows all around. Get there before sunset, then stay for the band. DJs come on later and the night picks up. Drinks are priced for the height. Weeknights bring the office towers below, and weekends bring couples who booked a window table.
